Cornell testing completed
The comparative testing phase has been completed on the XeroGear vest by Cornell University. I'm happy to report that ounce for ounce, the vest has a higher insulation value than any product they've tested.
Evaporative testing also confirms that the vent holes work as designed: a measurable amount of moisture was carried from the thermal test manikin surface to the outside air, and did not significantly effect the garment's impressive insulation properties.
We'll be making a few tweeks to the design based on these test results, but I'm confident that we're now very close to a production version of the vest.
