XeroGear partners with Cornell University

XeroGear is now a corporate member of the Cornell Institute of Fiber and Fashion Innovation. We have engaged Cornell's Human Ecology Lab to conduct testing on the XeroGear vest to determine its insulating properties and moisture transfer.

Pictured below is Dr. Jintu Fan demonstrating “Walter”, a thermal test manikin he developed at Cornell. This system is designed to measure clothing insulation values, body heat loss, and moisture transfer from body surfaces. This system is being used by major outdoor equipment manufacturers to test the thermal efficacy of their garments and other cold weather gear.

Testing will be conducted on the latest set of prototypes in the coming months. Please check back here for updates.
